Offenders are allowed at least one visit per week except when an inmate has been given a disciplinary penalty for an infraction of rules governing visitation or the offender’s current institutional behavior presents an imminent danger or threat of danger to self, staff or other offenders. Adults, and children when accompanied with by an adult, will be permitted to visit offenders. (Anyone under the age of 18 is considered a child and must have a parent’s permission. Visits will be behind the glass in the visitation room and will be for a minimum of (15) minutes unless otherwise noted.

Electronic device use is prohibited in the Detention Center lobby and visitation room. Any use of electronics may result in your visit being ended early.

If you have been incarcerated in the Meade County Detention Center, you must wait a minimum of 30 days before visiting anyone currently lodged in the Detention Center.

Visitation time for offenders on County Side are:

Tuesday 8AM - 11AM (must be signed in by 10:30 AM)
Saturday 8AM - 11AM (must be signed in by 10:30 AM)
Visitation time for Female Offenders are:
Tuesday 1PM - 3PM (must be signed in by 2:30PM)
Saturday 1PM - 3PM (must be signed in by 2:30PM)
Visitation times for offenders on State side are as follows:
Tuesday 7PM - 9PM (must be signed in by 8:30PM)
Sunday 10AM - 5PM  

(Sunday visits are for 1 hour and must be scheduled on Friday between 8AM and 4PM.)

Visitation schedules may be subject to change without notice.

Visit Donations:
-The Meade County Detention Center collects canned goods during visitation year-round, which are donated to local charities and food banks in the community. You will receive an additional (15) minutes for visitation with a donation of $5.00 or more in unexpired canned goods.
-In the months of July and August, you will receive an additional (15) minutes to visit for a donation of $5.00 or more of canned goods or school supplies. These school supplies are donated to families in the county.
-During November and December, you will receive an additional (15) minutes to visit for a donation of $5.00 or more of canned goods or $5.00 or more in new children’s toys or new/gently used children’s coats. Toys are distributed to the Toys for Tots and Angel Tree programs in Meade County.

Visits are limited to a maximum of (30) minutes, multiple donations do not stack.
